Assumpta Iheaso

Assumpta was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved to California, United States, at the age of 13. She attended and graduated high school in California, and upon graduation, she moved to Illinois to continue her studies. Assumpta obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University in 2014 and a Master of arts degree from the University of Illinois in 2016. In 2017, she moved to Houston, Texas, and started her law school career at South Texas College of Law, Houston.
While at South Texas College of Law, Assumpta was very involved in the school’s advocacy program. She took part in the T Gerald Treece Summer Trial Academy and went on to travel for the school’s varsity mock trial program. Her advocacy career continued as she went on to compete and win the national championship at the Alternative Dispute Resolution Securities Triathlon held by St. John’s Law School in New York.
